KUCHING: The state’s Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneur Development (MIED) is committed to ensuring the best services for its stakeholders and target group.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who is also Industrial and Entrepreneur Development Minister said that both industrial and entrepreneur development are the ministry’s core business.

He said the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg had announced in the 2019 budget a total of RM85.3 million for estate and industrial development, plus another RM18.4 milion for the development of entrepreneurs as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

“Thus, I want all MIED officers to give their commitment and focus to the implementation of the programmes, projects, and activities under the ministry’s responsibility,” said Tengah.

He said this in his speech when officiating at the MIED Appreciation Ceremony 2018 held at a hotel here on Friday.

Tengah also noted that all the management and financial operation must follow the proper procedures and processes as stipulated to ensure smooth progress.
