KUCHING: The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) is improving the Malaysian Family Sales Programme (PKJM) 2.0 by involving all state constituencies.

Its Minister, Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said previously, the PJKM involved 222 parliaments and expanded to 613 state constituencies nationwide.

“The model was decided by his ministry as the government is concerned about consumers, especially the people who are facing rising prices of goods and inflation,” he said when met by reporters after conducting visiting the Malaysian Family Aspiration Tour PJKM site at Jalan Stadium today.

“In this PJKM 2.0, we will divide the responsibilities to the other ministries. This further enhances our method and its efficiency because KPDNHEP alone may not be able to hold as many and the number of places that we want to do,” he said.

Nanta said that several ministries had been coordinated to lead PJKM 2.0 in three states, involving the Ministry of Rural Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development.

“At the Federal Territories, it will be led by the Ministry of Federal Territories,” he explained.

KPDNHEP is assigned to lead PJKM 2.0 in Sarawak, Terengganu and Johor, and hopefully more people can benefit from the programme, Nanta added.
