MIRI: Renovation works for the Miri Visitors’ Information Centre are on track for full completion within the upcoming week.

In announcing this, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting said the centre is nearing completion of its second phase of renovations, with progress currently at around 96 percent.

He confirmed this after leading a site visit to inspect the ongoing advancements on Tuesday (Apr 8), aiming to oversee the project’s development firsthand.

Ting pointed out the importance of these improvements, noting that they will create a more inviting and attractive environment for visitors, both local and international.

“The revitalised Miri Visitors’ Information Centre is poised to become a pivotal hub for those seeking insights into Miri’s attractions and beyond, across Sarawak.

“I anticipate that these enhancements will draw in more tourists, encouraging them to explore and appreciate the beauty of this region,” he remarked.

Initiated on November 22, 2023, the project is budgeted at RM500,000.
