BELAGA: A woman, who had gone missing since Monday (April 1) after failing to return home near Simpang Sepakau, Sungai Asap, has been found in her ex-fiance’s palm oil plantation.

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said that the 29-year-old was discovered around 12.45pm.

This followed information that the woman had most likely followed her ex-fiance to work in the plantation after her motorcycle was spotted in the area.

When the rescuers and villagers went to the area, they found that she was indeed working in the plantation without informing her family.

She was handed over to Belaga police for further action. Following the discovery, the search operation ended at 1pm.

Last Monday, the woman had accompanied her mother to a farm around 4.30pm. She was then asked by her mother to retrieve a sickle from home but she never returned to the farm.

Despite efforts to locate her, including the filing of a missing person’s report at 3.40pm on Tuesday (April 2), she was still not found.
