“Alhamdulillah, my term as Vice-Chancellor has come to an end. It is truly amazing to think that more than 10 years have passed since I first took up the appointment on April 16, 2013.

“It has been exhilarating and tremendously satisfying, to say the least, and I am grateful to have been part of the great team in building UNIMAS as a global brand.

“Importantly, I believe that the majority of the staff want UNIMAS to advance as one of the leading public universities,” he said in a post on Facebook on Thursday.

Meanwhile, UNIMAS also announced that before the official appointment of the new Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) Professor Dr Ahmad Hat Rasit will act as Acting Chancellor of UNIMAS, effective December 15, until the appointment of Acting Chancellor of UNIMAS is finalised.
