KUCHING: A primary school’s classroom was partially damaged in an early morning fire today (Aug 2).
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the 6.10 am incident.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department said firemen from Tabuan Jaya and Batu Lintang stations were deployed to the scene at Taman Satria Jaya, BDC.
On arrival, the team found that the fire had caused 20 per cent damages to the classroom on the third floor of the school building.
The fire was quickly extinguished using water sourced from a hydrant and the fire truck.
The blaze was completely extinguished at 6.48am.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
