MIRI: Thanksgiving prayers were held simultaneously statewide marking the 30th anniversary of Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (Jais) establishment.
A thanksgiving prayer to mark the occasion for Miri division level was held in An-Nur Mosque, Pujut Tanjong Batu on Thursday evening.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yassin followed by Doa Kesyukuran.
Nearly 100 Muslims attended at the event, including Acting Miri Resident Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf and Miri’s Jais officer Ustaz Rasaee Morshidi.
