BINTULU: A man died on the spot after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a lorry in Jalan Sungai Plan in the wee hours of Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old William Nchuk Lawai.
The accident occurred at 1.30am, and William’s body has been taken to Bintulu Hospital for autopsy.
“Prior to the fatal crash, William was on his way to Tanjung Kidurong. Upon reaching the area, he rear-ended a lorry,” said Sarawak Traffic and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
