The luxury car lands turn-turtle.

MIRI: A 29 year-old motorist whose luxury car was involved in a crash at KM22 Miri Coastal road on Wednesday morning has succumbed to his injuries.

Miri police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, said the man, identified as Lee Kim Seng, a local, died at 4.46am early this morning.

In the incident at 9.45am on April 13, a female passenger, identified as Chinese national, Lan Gui Mei, aged 31 died on the spot, while Lee, who was driving the luxury car, was rushed to Miri Hospital.

Prior to the incident, the duo were heading towards the city centre from Batu Niah.

The car was reported to have skidded while navigating a sharp bend at the area. It turned turtle and landed at the left side of the road shoulder.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

About 11 years ago, Lee, who was then aged 17 was detained for causing the death of Tiffany Wong (also aged 17 the time), but was acquitted of the subsequent charge against him.

Tiffany Wong’s body was found lying inside a drain at Kampung Beraya Lama on March 24, 2011.

Wong, a student of St. Joseph Secondary School Miri was reported missing by her family, a day after the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) results were announced.

It was reported that the recent crash scene was adjacent to the site where Tiffany Wong’s body was recovered, some 11 years ago.
