MUKAH: Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib made an official visit to Mukah Hospital here today.

It was believed to be her first official visit since she was appointed as a federal deputy minister in February last year when the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government took over from Pakatan Harapan (PH), following an unprecedented national political ‘twist’.

Upon arrival, Hanifah, who is also Mukah MP, and entourage were welcomed by Mukah Hospital director Dr Yik Kah Sieng, Dr Normy Kunyo who represented Mukah division health officer and other officials.

Hanifah’s first stop was at the Emergency and Trauma Unit, followed by the Maternity Ward, Children Ward, Female Ward, Out-patients Department, X-Ray Unit, Laboratory Unit, Dental Clinic, Operation Hall, Male Ward, Haemodialysis Unit, Physiotherapy Unit and Forensic Unit.

She was briefed by Dr Yik and other officials’ in-charge during the one hour and 40 minutes’ visit.
