P VANISHAANTINI, the reigning Mrs Malaysia World 2023, embarked on her journey to Las Vegas on Friday, ready to represent Malaysia at the prestigious Mrs World pageant.

The 27-year-old entrepreneur from Seremban will be showcasing a remarkable wau (kite) inspired attire as her national costume, aiming to captivate the global audience.

Vanishaantini, who is set to compete against contestants from over 60 countries, is accompanied by her husband, Dr N Sundahnath, a dentist by profession.

The international contest, which attracts talents from across the globe, will take place today to the 21st, said Datin Harveen Kaur, the National Director of Mrs Malaysia World and the Managing Director of Mrs Malaysia World Sdn Bhd.

Highlighting the uniqueness of Vanishaantini’s national costume, Harveen Kaur shared that it is the largest wau attire ever created in Malaysia.

Named Puteri Wau Bulan, this masterpiece, crafted by the talented Sarawak designer Saran Anak Lagong and sponsored by MS Gold, stands at an impressive 3.8 metres high and spans 4.8 metres wide, weighing about 10kg, she said.
