Mukah District goes from orange to yellow

KUCHING: Mukah District, previously an orange zone, is now yellow after recording only a total of 15 local infection cases in the past 14 days.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said this in the daily Covid-19 update press conference here on Thursday (March 18).

“Song, Serian, Subis, Julau, Betong, Meradong, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri and Sibu districts remain red with a total of 2,508 local infection cases recorded in the last 14 days.

“Meanwhile, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Bau and Sarikei districts remain orange with a total of 118 local infection cases reported in the same period.”

Selangau, Dalat, Limbang, Telang Usan, Tanjung Manis, Kanowit, Belaga, Lundu, Bukit Mabong, Tatau, Pusa, Asajaya, Beluru, Saratok and Sebauh districts are also yellow with a cumulative total of 103 local infection cases.

Nine other districts in Sarawak are listed as green zones.
