N Korean ballistic missiles fall outside Japan’s exclusive zone

TOKYO: Two ballistic missiles test-fired by Pyongyang on Monday morning flew some 350 kilometres, landing outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone, Japan’s Defence Ministry informed.

Sputnik quoted South Korea’s Yonhap news agency report, citing the South Korean military, that North Korea test-fired an unspecified ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan from the Chunghwa area on Monday. The Japan Coast Guard issued two warnings on Monday, suggesting that two launches were carried out by Pyongyang.

Japan’s defence ministry said that the two ballistic missiles launched by North Korea from its western coast which landed outside Japan’s exclusive economic zone reached an altitude of 50 kilometres and flew some 350 kilometres. – BERNAMA-SPUTNIK
