KUCHING: The ‘Seventh Year with the Premier’ Townhall Session has provided Sarawakians with an opportunity to reflect on the challenges and accomplishments of the state over the past seven years.

Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the session was a meaningful one as it reminded the people on how Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s leadership and strategies have successfully navigated obstacles, leading the state to numerous successes and achievements.

“This is the best (terbaik) townhall, it served as a platform for the people to ask questions and issues as well as for the Premier to share the progress and future direction of Sarawak, heading towards 2030,” he said.

“Abang Johari also talked about how Sarawak was able to achieve RM13 billion revenue last year, the highest revenue performance ever achieved by the state, through revenue engineering,” he said.

He told the reporters after attending the townhall session held at the Satok Ballroom, Hikmah Exchange Event Centre here last night (Jan 13).

“Abang Johari also elaborated on various initiatives to be implemented, detailing how these strategies would contribute to Sarawak’s prominence on the global front. So, it is a fruitful event,” he added.
