KUCHING: Some 20 officers and 80 rank and file of the Indonesian National Army arrived at the Kuching Air Force base here at 11am yesterday to take part in a military exercise code named ‘KEKAR MALINDO 42AB/2018’ to be held from 9 to 22 September.
The Indonesian soldiers flew in a C130military plane from TarakanAirport, North Kalimatan,Indonesia at 9am and arrived hereat 11am. The delegation was led by Colonel Jones Sasmita Muliawan.
The delegation members were welcomed upon arrival by Commander of 3rd Malaysian Infantry Brigade, BrGigadier Bustaman HjZajjiMat Zin.
Members of the delegation were later introduced to Mayor of Kuching City North Commission, Datuk HjWajAbdul Wahab bin Abang Julai. Also present were Indonesian Consul General in Kuching, Bapak Yoni Tri Prayitnoand Deputy Director of Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Mohd Nawawi bin AbdulRahman.
