Dev’t projects worth RM3.17 million implemented in Kabong this year

KABONG: A total of RM3.174 million allocations have been used for development projects implemented in Kabong state constituency this year.

Kabong State Assemblyman Mohd Chee Kadir said the development projects included the Poor Housing Programme (PPRT) 2017 which cost RM2.07 million giving benefits to a total of 12 recipients to build new homes and 105 for repairs which were held in stages.  In addition, the Kabong district football field was built with a total cost of RM798,500  that had been completed and is now open for public use.

Similarly,  the construction of the Kabong public toilet also cost RM100,000 and was completed recently.

“Furthermore, the project to build Kabong children’s playground costing RM200,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) will be implemented this year,” he said.

Chee was speaking at the opening ceremony of the Kabong District Development Projects here yesterday.

Thus, he said, the development projects that had been and would be implemented soon, are one of the government’s efforts to provide comfort to rural residents to enjoy the benefits of infrastructure developments.

“I will always be committed in looking after the needs of the people and to develop the rural areas as a away to ensure the people in the Kabong constituency are not left behind in enjoying the comfort of the planned development by the government,” the assemblyman said.

A lawyer by profession, Chee assured that more projects will be implemented, so it is important that the people especially in the Kabong state constituency to continue  supporing and cooperating with the government.

“People need to continue working together not only with the government but also in ensuring that development planning can be implemented smoothly,” he said.

Also present were District Officer of Kabong, Kamaluddin Haji Alkap and Chee’s wife Maryani Mohd Yassin.
