MIRI: A driver and two of his assistants escaped unhurt when the lorry laden with rubbish they were travelling in overturned at Jalan Miri-Bintulu here recently.
The incident occurred at around 5.30pm when the trio was heading towards a waste disposal site in Lambir. This was when the lorry driver lost control of the wheel, causing the vehicle to skid and overturned by the roadside.
It was believed that potholes and uneven road surface were the reasons that he lost control of the lorry.
“Following the accident, loads of rubbish was spilled on the roadside. The lorry driver and two of his assistants were not injured in the incident,” sources said.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation.
