KUCHING: A woman who was talking on her mobile phone sustained serious injuries after she was knocked down by a car.
The accident happened at about 8.00pm on Thursday at Kuching/Serian Road when the 27-year-old was so engrossed in her call, she did not realise a car coming.
The car driver said he wanted to avoid her but it was too late as she suddenly walked to the middle of the road.
He then called for help and an ambulance rushed her to the hospital.
Her husband who heard of the accident also went to the scene.
