KUCHING: The nominations for the prestigious Sarawak Entrepreneur of The Year (EOYS) 2023 have officially commenced.
Organised by the Sarawak Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment in collaboration with the Sarawak Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), the EOYS aims to recognise and honour outstanding entrepreneurial talent and leadership.
Over the years, more than 70 entrepreneurs from across Sarawak have been bestowed with this prestigious recognition, highlighting their exceptional contributions to the state’s economic growth and development.
The award not only celebrates the success of established entrepreneurs driving Sarawak towards its vision of becoming a developed state by 2030, but also acknowledges up-and-coming entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, dedication, and hard work have contributed to the growth of the state’s economy and the promotion of small and medium-scale (SME) industries.
The nominees will be evaluated based on their individual attributes, such as outstanding leadership, vision, dedication, intelligent risk-taking, and the ability to overcome industry obstacles and adversity.
Participating in EOYS offers numerous advantages, including opportunities for networking, media coverage, and raising personal and company profiles.
The selected recipients of the EOYS Awards will also have the privilege of representing Sarawak at the prestigious Malaysia EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Awards, opening doors to various events and collaborations with a distinguished group of alumni.
The SCCI’s YouTube channel features EOYS videos, showcasing inspiring stories of past recipients from 2015 onwards.
Nominations for the EOYS can be submitted to SCCI through business associations or individuals, with the deadline set for Sept 8.
