KUCHING: Nur Azhar Bujang took the oath as the secretary of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) in a ceremony graced by DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohammad Asfia Awang Nassar.

The event was held at 10 am on the seventh floor of the DUN building, as detailed in a press release from DUN.

“The oath-taking ceremony commenced with Nur Azhar Bujang reciting the oath-taking pledge, followed by the signing of the certificate of appointment as the secretary of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly,” the press release said.

Nur Azhar Bujang, 39, is a senior state attorney who graduated with a Bachelor of Legal Studies (Honours) in 2009 and a Bachelor of Law (Honours) in 2010 from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

Prior to that, he received his early education at Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang, Miri.

Commencing his professional journey in the private sector at a law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Nur Azhar later returned to Sarawak, joining the state civil service as a legal officer in the Sarawak Attorney-General’s Chamber.
