KUCHING: An office space in a three-storey building near E-Mart Matang in Petrajaya here was completely destroyed in a fire last Saturday.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation commander when their team arrived at the scene, the fire had engulfed the entire third floor of the building.
“The 16 x 59 square foot office space which was also used as a home was completely burnt in the fire,” said Senior Fire Officer II Kamri Bujang who was operation commander of the fire extinguishing team.
He was joined by 18 firefighters in tackling the fire starting from 11.50pm till 12.20am.
No injury was reported in the fire incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Also present at the scene was Assistant Fire Superintendent Fathi Ahmad (Investigating Officer Zone 1).
