MUKAH: The steel bridge over Batang Oya near Selangau town needs repainting as the yellow colour on it has faded badly.
New Sarawak Tribune found out yesterday that the structure itself was rusty too, hence, it is perhaps time to check whether the bolts and nuts are still in good order.
The bridge is believed to be over 25 years old.
It is hoped that the authority would look into the matter and take appropriate action for the benefit of the people, especially road users.
Whether the bridge is under the purview of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) or Pakatan Harapan (PH) government, it has to be taken care of in one way or another for the benefit of the people.
