LUNDU: A fatal collision occurred at the KM 13 Lundu-Sematan road, involving two vehicles and resulting in a death.
According to the police report, the incident involved a Toyota Unser and a Honda Ex-5 motorcycle at 10.55 am today. Preliminary investigations at the scene revealed that the deceased was riding the Honda Ex-5 motorcycle, travelling from Sematan towards Kampung Serayan Hilir.
“It is believed that the deceased did not stop at the intersection while exiting from the P-Turn (Serayan Hilir). Concurrently, a car travelling from Lundu to Sematan on the straight road collided with the motorcycle.
“As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by attending paramedics. The Toyota Unser driver sustained no injuries,” the report said.
The case is currently under further investigation of the Section 41, the Road Transport Act 1987.
