SERIAN: A car parked by the roadside along Jalan Sungai Mamat here was destroyed in an early dawn fire this morning (Jan 9).
Firemen from Serian station were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call around 4.20am.
Upon arriving, they found that the vehicle was completely destroyed and carried out the extinguishing task.
The flames were successfully put out within 20 minutes.
At the time of the incident, the vehicle owner was nowhere to be found.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
