SIBU: PDP Bawang Assan Youth leader, Joshua Ting and his team have come to the aid of Rumah Dewi by providing the longhouse with building materials to repair a wooden bridge.
The bridge is used by the longhouse folk when they go fishing.
Ting said they had applied in vain for funds from the relevant authorities to repair the dilapidated bridge.
“So, my team and I provided the necessary building materials to help them repair it. The longhouse folk are grateful for our help,” he said.
“I am willing to speak for the people and solve their problems. That is why I chose to be in politics.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve,” added Ting.
