KUCHING: The Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) is offering a 60 per cent discount on selected traffic summonses to the public in conjunction with the 216th Police Day celebration.
The discount, available from today until Mar 31, is an offer from the Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department.
According to a poster from the department, payment can be made at all district traffic counters under the Sarawak Contingent from 8am to 3pm during working days only.
In addition, payment of the summonses can also be made through the ‘MyPay Saman PDRM’ application, which can be downloaded from the Playstore app.
The main purpose the offer is to get the people to settle their outstanding summonses.
All types of summonses are eligible for the 60 per cent discount except for accident cases, court hearing cases, non-compoundable category summonses, overtaking emergency lanes, jumping red light, heavy vehicle summonses, overtaking at double lines, vehicle exhaust modifications and ‘Ops Selamat’ summonses.
