KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women has pledged to do its part in the run-up to the upcoming general election.

“The machinery of the party is very important as it had contributed to our win in the last state election, and now we are about to face the general election,” said PBB Women chief Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah.

“Hence, I have advised and reminded my colleagues here to work hard like we did in the state election. This is because we want to make sure that the party will win all the parliamentary seats.”

Fatimah was speaking to the media at the PBB headquarters here on Thursday (July 14) after a PBB Women Supreme Council meeting.

When asked whether or not PBB would retain current women members to contest in the general election, Fatimah stated that the decision was PBB president and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s to make.
