KUCHING: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) has made its stance clear following the dissolution of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PBS) which was once its ally.

Its president Voon Lee Shan said during the 15th General Election (15PRU), PBK had forged a loose cooperation with the now-dissolved party, but the cooperation did not mean his party subscribed to PSB’s political ideologies and struggles.

“PSB has officially dissolved and its former members are invited to join a component party of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

“To answer queries of supporters, PBK needs to clarify that invitation does not mean that PBK members are invited to join former members of the dissolved PSB to join GPS or any component party of GPS.

“PBK, therefore has nothing to do with the invitation extended to the former members of the dissolved PSB,” he said in a statement Tuesday (Apr 9).

He said following the dissolution of PSB, it means that its former members are free to join any political party of their choice.

“No one can stop them or direct them to join any political party against their choice.

“Since they are partyless, we extend our hands to the former members of the dissolved PSB to join PBK if they subscribe to the party’s struggles and ideologies by making the necessary applications with a perquisite fee,” said Voon.
