KUCHING: The Pakatan Harapan federal government is sidelining the people’s representatives in many of its programmes, Santubong MP Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar claimed.

“I have been informed that the federal government is still giving out housing project for the Hardcore Poor (Projek Perumahan Rakyat Termiskin — PPRT).

“However, we do not know whether the PPRT is being channelled directly through the State Development Office (SDO) or the District Office (DO). When we ask the DO, they say they do not know about it either so I don’t know who to refer to regarding this matter.

“Thus, this becomes a problem where the members of parliament and state assemblymen are not included in the discussion on matters involving the community’s development,” Wan Junaidi told reporters after visiting fire victims at Kpg Sejingkat in Jalan Bako here, yesterday.
