The public are invited to the “Mysterious Heart of Sarawak" exhibition.

SIBU: The Sibu Photographer Association (SPA) will be holding a “Mysterious Heart of Sarawak” exhibition at Kingwood Hotel here from Nov 11 until 17.

The association said that the opening ceremony for the exhibition would be held at 2.30 pm tomorrow (Nov 11).

“The public are welcome to come and enjoy the exhibition and participate in the opening ceremony,” SPA said in a statement.

The photography exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries, and Performing Arts and it showcases captivating photos of the Kajang tribe sub-groups captured in Belaga by SPA last September.

“The Kajang tribe is divided into different sub-groups, such as the Sekapan, Lahanan, Punan, Tanjung, Kanowit and Kejaman.

“During this shooting trip, the association could only find the Sekapan, Lahanan and Punan tribes, so this time we will exhibit the photos taken by the group members of these three tribes,” the statement said.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries, and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan is expected to officiate at the opening ceremony.
