PUSA: Eight of the 12 projects proposed for the Beting Maro constituency involve agricultural infrastructure development.

According to assemblyman Razaili Gapor, they are hoping the list of 12  projects will be approved for implementation under the Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA).

“Eight projects, are focused on agricultural infrastructure development, especially to address the threat of saltwater intrusion that affects agricultural activities,” he said.

He said this to the media after the Pusa District Action Committee Meeting chaired by Pusa District Officer Bujang Ladi here Wednesday (March 22).

He said agriculture cannot be fully developed if basic infrastructure issues are not resolved.

The four other proposed projects are aimed at improving existing basic facilities.

“We hope the proposed list will be approved so that the people in Beting Maro can see and benefit from the large projects implemented under the BDDA. Also, we hope they can be implemented soon,” he added.

He said all assemblymen have finalised the projects according to their priorities.

“I hope all projects can start implementation by August this year or earlier,” he said.
