Plaza hosts special needs children art exhibition

The arts made by 15 special needs children.

KUCHING: An exhibition featuring the works of 15 special needs children is now open for public viewing here.

Held in conjunction with Plaza Merdeka’s Mid-Autumn Festival celebration the ‘Gifted Art Exhibition’ seeks to boost self-esteem and promote self-reliance among special children.

According to Kuching Association of Talent Development and Welfare of Special Needs (KATSN), some of the artworks displayed will be available  on a first come first served basis.

Among those who have visited the exhibition are Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) Mayor Datuk Junaidi Reduan and his wife Datin Dayangku Rohani Awangku Kassim.

The said festival is being held until Sept 11 from 10 am to 10pm at the Atrium, Plaza Merdeka.
