MUKAH: Politeknik Mukah (PMU) is always committed to valuing and recognising the excellence of students in various fields.

PMU director Hisamudin Mohd Tamim stated that this included academics, character, and extracurricular activities.

“PMU also directly recognises and encourages students who demonstrate leadership excellence through active involvement in various areas of personal development that contribute to their potential.

“This is the right time, not only to nurture and emulate talent and achievements but also to encompass disciplines such as sports, culture, volunteering, innovation, entrepreneurship, public speaking, and so on,” he said.

He made these remarks while officiating at the Outstanding Student Awards ceremony organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, recently.

Commenting on the awards, Hisamudin said that all nominations would be narrowed down to 18 recipients according to categories and one overall award, namely the National Outstanding Student Award.

“As such, PMU also focuses strategically on student empowerment programmes based on physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development.
