SARIKEI: ‘Program Menyantuni’ continues its mission of assisting communities in need, providing vital aid and support to alleviate burdens.

Sarawak Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Datuk Len Talif Salleh pointed out the significance of this approach in ensuring proper protection for those involved.

“One of the key aspects of the programme is providing educational assistance to students pursuing higher education.

“Since January this year, a total of 164 students have received financial aid, amounting to RM59,100, to further their studies, ranging from Form 6 to Matriculation, certificates, diplomas and degrees.

“The Kuala Rajang Service Centre has been actively implementing this educational aid initiative since 2011, contributing a cumulative total of RM910,000,” he said.

Additionally, the programme extends its reach beyond education to provide essential assistance to residents across the Sarikei zone.

Len Talif shared that various donations, including financial aid, wheelchairs, and essential health support, have been distributed to 95 individuals in several locations under the Kuala Rajang State Assembly area since January 2023.
