KUCHING: More funds should be included in Budget 2023 for Bau’s infrastructure development, says Datuk Henry Harry Jinep.
The Tasik Biru assemblyman stressed that Bau Hospital required urgent facility improvements.
Besides that, he said another secondary school was needed to accommodate the growing population in Bau.
“Currently, we have SMK Lake and SMK Bau, which are not enough to cater to the surging number of students.
“We need another secondary school, which is Jagoi Secondary School.”
Henry said this to reporters after officiating at the Mini Lab Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) N2 Tasik Biru here on Friday (Feb 17).
Budget 2023 is scheduled to be presented on Feb 24 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is also Finance Minister.
Meanwhile, Henry said through the many labs held, Bau had been consistently improving and looking for ways to be better.
Therefore, he added, through GKCDA along with chief executive officer Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik, funds would continue to be demanded of the federal government.
