PUSA: The federal and state governments are committed to upgrading rundown schools in the state to ensure that students receive quality education.

Beting Maro assemblyman Razaili Gapor stated that the government will prioritise the improvement of dilapidated schools, including those in his constituency, and allocate funds for this purpose from the budget previously announced.

According to him, this is in line with the promise of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to upgrade schools in Sabah and Sarawak.

“The state government, under the leadership of the Premier, has also given attention to upgrading schools and various infrastructure developments. The state has also managed to provide higher state revenue than before,” he said.

He was speaking during the Aidilfitri celebration at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Semarang with the Kampung Semarang Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) in Pusa yesterday (May 10).

Razaili also announced an allocation of RM10,000 for each parent-teacher association (PTA) in Beting Maro.
