LIMBANG: A Sarawak Energy Berhad residential barrack at Jalan Marin was destroyed in a fire on Monday.

Limbang fire chief Clarence D Primus Tiandun said his men were despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call around 8.15pm.

No human casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

“Upon arriving, my team found that the house measuring 30 feet by 60 feet was already up in flames.

“Investigation found that the barrack is an old residential place and not inhabited by anyone,” he said.

The fire was extinguished and overhaul works followed suit before the team departed back to their station.
