POP star Rihanna is confirmed as the voice of the only lady in the Smurfs world, Smurfette, in the upcoming animated feature, “The Smurfs Movie”.

The singer, whose casting was announced last year, will be joined by an all-star cast that includes Nick Offerman, Natasha Lyonne, JP Karliak, Dan Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Sandra Oh, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña with Kurt Russell and John Goodman.

The upcoming film, which is based on the characters created by Belgian comic writer Peyo, will be released on February 14, 2025.

It is co-directed by Chris Miller and Matt Landon.

On the other hand, “The Smurfs Movie” is not the only animated feature in Paramount’s roster, as the studio also announced “Transformers One”, “Paw Patrol 3”, and “The Spongebob Movie: Search for Squarepants” among others.

The latter is set for release in December 2025, with Tom Kenny returning as the voice of Spongebob Squarepants.
