LIMBANG: Fourteen fire victim families of Rumah Sateng, Merasam, Hulu Panduan here received a total of RM28,000 cash assistance.
The amount was made up of RM14,000 from Member of Parliament for Limbang, Haji Hasbi Habibollah and RM14,000 from Batu Danau Assemblyman, Paulus Palu Gumbang.
Hasbi and Paulus hoped that the assistance could ease the immediate financial burden of the affected families.
They also pledged to look into the long-term aid to help the fire victims.
Hasbi and Paul also heard first hand information from the fire victims about the fire tragedy.
Also present were wife of Batu Danau Assemblyman’s, Mary Sindang, Officer of Limbang Social Welfare Department (SWD), Haslinda Supu and local community leaders.
