BAU: State government is ready to provide perimeter surveys of Bumiputera Land Rights (NCR) for the benefits of the community.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan has said that the state government under the leadership of Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has allocated RM40 million to proceed with the perimeter land survey in the state.

He added that the purpose is to help the citizens in the state to acquire land titles.

“This perimeter land survey is conducted continuously and it is not because of elections.

“The state government is committed to acknowledging the NCR lands being provided with substantial evidence and is according to the law stated,” he added.

He said this after officiating at the Tasik Biru Festival 2022 and Handover Ceremony of the Land Title under Section 18 of the Sarawak Land Code for Tasik Biru, yesterday.

Awang Tengah also urged the residents of Tasik Biru to use the land titles for plantation purposes and not to take shortcuts.

“Land owners should not take the easy way out and make full use of the land titles given for farming”, he added further.

He pointed out that with the infrastructure and facilities available, the citizens of Tasik Biru may now market their planting products to Kuching.
