PUSA: A processing factory will be built in Sungai Beras, Beladin, in an effort to support local economic growth.

Beting Maro assemblyman, Razaili Gapor stated that the factory will process agricultural produce such as fruits, especially pineapples and coconuts.

“A sum of RM4 million would be allocated and I believe that the construction of the factory will have a positive impact on the local population.

“As a result, this would strengthen Sarawak’s position as a major agricultural centre in the region,” he said.

Razaili said this during the meeting session with Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) sub-branch, women and youth chiefs as well as community leaders in Beting Maro at the Al Amin Beladin mosque hall here recently.

He also stressed that Sarawak government would focus on initiatives to improve healthcare services in the area by constructing a hemodialysis centre.

“The centre will be built at the Beladin Health Clinic with an allocation of RM5 million,” he said.
