RM500 for winner of song creation contest

KUCHING:A song creation competition organised by Wishesland Kuching and Wishesland Miri is offering the winner cash prize worth RM500.

Chairman of Wishesland Kuching and advisor of Wishesland Miri, Chi Poh Yung said the competition aims to cultivate the potential of local song creators.

He also said the motivational songs from the competition will help to encourage a group of celebral palsy children as well as their families to remain persevere and full of enthusiasm in their struggles.

“The theme for the competition is ‘Cinta Sejati’ and there are three categories, namely Mandarin, English and Malay. The categories are open to all ages and entry submission must include a compact disk (CD) as well as song lyrics.

“We will be inviting local musicians and singers to be the judges for the competition. The winner of first place will receive RM500, followed by RM300 for the second place and RM200 for the third place,” he said.

He added that the winners will also receive a certification and all submissions will become Wishesland’s intellectual property.

“The entry submission will start Feb 25 until April 30. The decision made by the judges will be finalised,” he said.
