KUCHING: The Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers (Sabati) will continue to channel out assistance to those who are in need and affected by disasters.

This was said by Sabati secretary Datin Dr Zaliha Abdullah.

She said the contribution is part of the efforts in helping victims of disasters.

“We hope that this contribution will help the four families involved in the recent fire at Kampung Sourabaya Ulu here,” she said at the presentation of donations ceremony at Surau Darul Taqwa in Kampung Bintawa Ulu here today.

She also said that Sabati had been providing assistance to the community since its inception 37 years ago.

“We will continue to help the community regardless of their race and religion,” she added.

Earlier, Zaliha, who represented her president, the chief minister’s wife, Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, handed over cheques and donations to the victims of the recent fire incident at Kampung Bintawa Ulu on Saturday.
