IPOH: Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki has urged Sarawak’s civil servants (PANS) to continue working together as a cohesive unit to ensure the government’s initiatives remain on track.

The State Secretary also called on PANS’ top management to ensure successful implementation of action plans and working papers presented.

“Apart from the working paper presentation of the groups here, it is essential to know that the Post Covid-19 Development Plan 2030 (PCDS 2030) is not only a long-term plan but what is important for us is that when we develop PCDS 2030, it is based on three main principles, which are economic prosperity, social inclusivity and environmental sustainability.”

He was speaking at the opening ceremony of the ‘High Performance Team (HPT) Retreat’ programme at the Royal Perak Golf Club here on Wednesday (Oct 18).

He stressed the importance of cooperation between PANS, political leadership, and the community to ensure the successful execution of projects.

“Among them, the development of PCDS 2030, which will be presented by the Special Advisor in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (PCDS 2030), Datuk Amar Jaul Samion.

“Next is the paper on ‘Digitalisation of Government Services’ presented by Sarawak Public Service Digitisation Unit director Grace Wong.

“And the paper on Human Resources, presented by the director of the Human Resource Management and Development Unit, Datuk Ismail Mohamad Hanis, and ‘Transformation and Innovation’ by the founder and chairman of Sunway Group, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Cheah.”
