Sarawak delegation discusses education issues with Fadillah

KUCHING: A delegation from the Ministry of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak (MEITD) led by its Minister Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn visited Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof in Putrajaya.

The visit which took place at Fadillah’s office was aimed at discussing the ministry’s efforts towards gaining autonomy in education.

Key topics encompassed the current issues faced in education, especially in terms of the development and redevelopment of school infrastructure projects, as well as the need for ample funding to sustain education programmes in the state.

Fadillah, who is also the Minister of Plantation and Commodities, assured that appropriate steps will be taken to address the matters raised.

Among the delegation were Sagah’s deputies Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee and Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, permanent secretary Azmi Bujang and political secretary to the Premier of Sarawak Damien Rejek.
