Sarawak Energy vendors recognised for excellence

KUCHING: Sixteen vendors received recognition from Sarawak Energy for their outstanding performance and excellence in contract delivery at the Sarawak Energy Vendor Awards (SEVA) 2023 event last night (May 30).

The SEVA recipients were evaluated for their 2022 performance in health, security, safety and environmental excellence (HSSE), quality of works, delivery of services, and integrity in the several categories, namely Best Works, Best Supplier, Best Service Provider, Best Local Consultant, Best International Consultant, Best Bumiputera Vendor and Promising Bumiputera Vendor.

The event at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) was officiated by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg with Sarawak Energy board member and chairman of Bumiputera Participation Board Committee Datuk Idris Buang and Sarawak Energy group chief executive officer Datuk Sharbini Suhaili leading the hosting party.

The recipients for the Best Works award were REDCO, Shorefield, Mark Maritime and Mega Electrical Engineering Service.

The Best Supplier Award went to HD Image Printing and Gala Emas Sdn Bhd; Sheza General Services (Impact Business Solutions); St John Ambulance Sarawak (Best Service Provider Award); NAQ Associates Sdn Bhd, Jurutera Jasa (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, and Bumi Geo Resources (Best Local Consultant Award); and Skipper Limited (Best International Consultant Award).

The Best Bumiputera Award was awarded to Metro Glide Sdn Bhd and Sonic Well while Syarikat Tajau Tepus took the Promising Bumiputera Award.

Present among others were Minister of Utility and Communication Datuk Julaihi Narawi, Deputy Minister of Utility and Communication Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
