KOTA SAMARAHAN: Sarawak is projected to generate around 145,000 new high-income jobs between 2021 and 2030, driven by changes in economic growth and the implementation of the Sarawak Digital Economy Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030).

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan highlighted the state’s commitment to becoming a high-income region, emphasising the opportunities presented by emerging sectors such as the Digital Economy, Hydrogen, Blue Economy, and Green Economy.

“It is an opportunity for graduates in Sarawak to get jobs that will drive economic growth in the state through new economic fields.

“Hence, I encourage all graduates to continue equipping themselves with the skills and knowledge needed to compete in the job market,” said Awang Tengah, his text of speech read by Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, the chief political secretary to the Premier of Sarawak.
