LAWAS: Sarawak Federal Secretary Datuk Amir Omar was here on Thursday (Oct 7), visiting Wisma Persekutuan Lawas, among others.
His delegation was welcomed on arrival by Wisma Persekutuan Lawas management committee chairman Abdul Mahsen Anuar, who is also deputy Lawas District Education officer (student development sector), and heads of federal departments and agencies.
He also visited the Lawas District Information Department, Education Department (student development sector), Lawas District National Registration Department, National Unity & Integration Department, Community Development Department, Marine Fisheries Department, Malaysian Immigration Department, Malaysian Volunteer Department, Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Lawas and Ambang Wira Sdn Bhd.
He was also briefed by Abdul Muhsen on the management of Wisma Persekutuan Lawas.
Earlier, Amir paid a visit to the Immigration Department at the IQS Merapok Complex. He was accompanied by Sarawak Immigration director Datuk Ken Leben.
Also present were deputy Lawas District officer Joseph Ganang Surang and Lawas District Education officer Sawal Pandin as well as other federal civil servants.
