KUCHING: Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro) has lodged a police report on Friday (Dec 15) regarding baseless allegations made in an online article.

The article, published on a website and subsequently circulated on various social media platforms, targeted the company and its top management.

In a statement today (Dec 16), Sarawak Metro rejected the claims presented in the article, deeming them unfounded, defamatory, and malicious.

“Sarawak Metro strongly denies the unfounded allegations contained in the article and as such is prepared to take legal action against those making, sharing, and spreading the allegations,” it said.

It added the company strictly maintains a high standard of corporate governance and transparency throughout the organisation’s operations.
