Selangor Sultan conveys sympathy and condolences

SHAH ALAM: The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah expressed his condolences to the family and next-of-kin of firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim who was allegedly attacked during a temple riot in Subang Jaya  last month and died at the National Heart Institute (IJN) yesterday.

He said Muhammad Adib’s passing was felt by all the people and believed the sacrifices made by the hero was noble in terms of religion, race and for the country.

The sultan said he would write a letter to Muhammad Adib’s father in Kedah to convey his condolences.

“I and the Tengku Permaisuri Selangor are very sad and unhappy to hear the news of Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim’s passing.

“I am made to understand that he was attacked while on duty to put out a fire during the riots at the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, USJ, Subang Jaya, on Nov 27, 2018.

 “I want to express my sympathy and condolences to the next of kin and family members of Muhammad Adib and hope they remain calm in accepting this test,” said Sultan Sharafuddin  through the Facebook of the Selangor Royal Office yesterday.
